High performance aluminum silicate
Aluminum silicate is an inorganic compound whose main components are aluminum and silicon. It has particularly excellent heat resistance, fire resistance, and insulation properties, and is used in building materials, ceramics, fireproof materials, electrical insulators, etc. It also has a low environmental impact and promotes sustainable resource use.
H2Al2O8Si2・H2O
– Naturally occurring hydrated aluminum silicate
– Along with feldspar and china clay, essential raw materials for the pottery industry.
・Mainly composed of kaolin minerals such as kaolinite and halloysite, weathered feldspar and mica
・White or almost white powder corresponding to Al2O3・2SiO2・2H2O
– The raw soil contains 20-25% moisture, and when crushed and dried, the moisture content becomes 1-2%.
This powder is used as a filler for rubber or for paper manufacturing.
