Melt Salt

Melt Salt: Literally translated as "melting salt" or "snow-melting salt".
In the industry, it is commonly referred to as "de-icing agent". When salt dissolves in snow and ice water, it forms a salt solution, which significantly lowers the freezing point of water, preventing ice from forming on the road surface and accelerating the melting of the ice layer.
It also captures moisture from the air through its hygroscopic property and continuously dissolves the solid snow.

Common Name Melt Salt
Another Name Dried salt, De-icing salt, Road salt
English Name Calcium Chloride
Chemical Formula CaCl₂
Packing Specification 25 kilograms of PE, packed in 40 bags in a flexible container, 500 kilograms in a flexible container, 1000 kilograms in a flexible container

Melt Salt Feature

It has both excellent snow-melting performance and economic efficiency.
Ensure safe traffic roads during winter.

Main Component Classification

Basic Melt Salt (Chloride Type)
Calcium Chloride CaCl₂: Has a low melting point, effectively melts ice at -29℃, has strong moisture absorption ability, suitable for cold regions;
Sodium Chloride NaCl (Industrial coarse salt): The lowest cost, suitable for mild snowfall and snow removal at temperatures around 0℃;
Magnesium Chloride MgCl₂: Long-lasting anti-freezing effect, slightly less corrosion to road surfaces and vehicle chassis than pure calcium chloride.
Composite Melt Salt
A combination of calcium chloride, sodium chloride, and corrosion inhibitor, reducing rust and damage to reinforced concrete roads and vehicle chassis. It is the mainstream model for highways, airports, and municipal roads.

Melt Salt Application Scenarios

Snow and ice removal on winter highways, urban roads, parking lots, and bridges;
Anti-freezing and anti-skid measures for airport runways, dock storage areas;
Small-scale snow and ice removal for residential courtyards, sidewalks, and steps.
